Phillip Rhee Brings 18 years of experience as a film executive responsible for the whole gamut of film production from story conceptualization, budgeting and planning, talent and crew contract negotiation, studio and independent financing arrangements, marketing strategies, to final worldwide distribution.
As President of CFC Entertainment, Inc, he and his business partner Peter E. Strauss,( Executive Vice President of Mandalay Pictures and former Co-Chairman of LionsGate Entertainment) raised over $45 million dollars in independent film financing to produced six major motion pictures and led production teams of approximately 150 people in the successful planning, filming, completion, and introduction of these pictures to the global market that have earned investors positive returns.
Out of the six successful films he has made, the most notable was the action/drama , "BEST OF THE BEST", which he wrote, produced and starred along with Academy nominated actors James Earl Jones, Eric Roberts, Sally Kirkland, Louise Fletcher, and Chris Penn Which was co-financed through Sony Pictures. The "BEST OF THE BEST" became an instant classic around the world and has spawned three sequels with distribution through 20th century Fox, and Miramax/Dimension Films.
He was also one of the early pioneers who recognized the potential of film rights turning into video games. To that extent in 1992, when the video game market was at its infancy, he sold Best of the Best game rights to Super Nintendo, SEGA and Gameboy.
To date Mr. Rhee is the only Korean American that has produced and directed his own motion pictures in Hollywood with distribution deals with the majors.
In 1999, the Asian American Arts Foundation presented Rhee with the prestige Golden Ring Award for artistic excellence along with past winners Oliver Stone and John Woo.
Formerly, Mr. Rhee also was the president and CEO of International Entertainment Group (IEG) focused on introducing Asian intellectual properties to the U.S.
In his tenure, IEG closed deals with Asian Movie Channel to represent 2000 Asian film titles for U.S cable networks and has been a consultant to many oversea companies, such as an award winning game company GAMBOX, an award winning animation company AKOM, comic book publisher YI HYUN SAE , along with assisting NABI ENTERTAINMENT in selling the remake rights to Korea's top distributor CINEMA SERVICE'S film library to major motion pictures studios and has also consulted for the Chairman of HUNAN TV Broadcasting, a major conglomerate with subsidiaries in Television Networks, Theme Park, Sports Stadium and luxury resorts in Shanghai, Beijing, and Changsha China.
IEG was also responsible for hosting the biggest celebrity charity golf tournament in Hollywood with top stars from Hong Kong , China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Hollywood to benefit the UNICEF Children.
Other charity events he organized were the celebrity martial arts tournament to benefit the Junior Diabetes association.
Currently, he is a co-founder of various internet startups and an owner of an online advertising and marketing firm called eTVspots.
Along with an entertainment career, Mr. Rhee holds a 6th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, 3rd degree Hap Ki Do and 1st degree in Kendo and was one of four to represent the United States in the 1980 Korean Olympics/Asian games and serves as a board member to the San Diego Asian Film Festival and at major Universities such as Loyola Marymont And USC.

Tom Guttman Exec. Creative Director
Tom Guttman, Executive Creative Director of eTVspots marketing Group adds a wealth of advertising experience and numerous creative awards to the agency.
The bulk of Tom's experience comes from eleven years at Foote, Cone & Belding in Los Angels. While at FCB, Tom worked on Numerous accounts including Universal Studios (for whom he helped develop the advertising image of their Hollywood and Florida theme parks), U.S. Air , Carnation, California Milk Advisory Board, ARCO, Alpha-Beta, Mattel, U.S. Forestry Service ( Smokey the Bear), First interstate Bank, Disney and Orion Pictures.
Prior to that, Tom was Executive Art Director at Cohen/Johnson in Los Angeles, where he created advertising for Universal Studios Home Video, Carrows Restaurants, Dep Corporation and Canyon Ranch. Before working at Cohen/Johnson, Tom Spent two years at Asher/Gould doing creative on the MGM Grand Hotel, Pabst Brewing Company and Suzuki Motors accounts.
Tom’s awards include the Clio for Universal Studios and the Gold and the Gold at the International Advertising Festival for the U.S. Forest Service.
He has participated in the American Association of Advertising Agencies' Advanced Course in Advertising at USC and attended Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Design from California state University, Northridge.
